Two wheels or four
A dirt bike needs balance and motorcycle control; each bike carries one rider. An ATV has four wheels and offers an optional passenger place, with one passenger maximum per vehicle. Four wheels still require attention and instruction on uneven ground. If your experience is limited, say so rather than choosing a vehicle on appearance alone.
How long do you want to be out?
ATV options run for 30 minutes, one hour, three hours and four hours. Dirt bike tours run for one, three, four and six hours. The shorter rides are useful when time is limited; longer rides give you a larger riding commitment. Read the inclusions and pickup arrangements instead of treating all tours as the same package.
A tour or a lesson
Guided tours help you experience the trails. Dirt bike training gives you time to work on the controls and technique with an instructor, with a two-hour minimum. Complete beginners who want to learn a geared bike should discuss training. Couples and groups can send each person’s experience to the team before choosing a shared plan.
