Read the ground with the guide
The supplied riding library shows loose sand, rocky sections, dusty tracks and muddy patches. The exact mix on a tour is not published as a fixed route. Keep your attention on instructions and the ground ahead, rather than trying to find an obstacle from a photograph. If a surface feels beyond your confidence, tell the guide.
Choose experience over spectacle
Riding through a splash may look exciting, but choosing a tour to chase the largest splash is a poor way to match ability. A newcomer should discuss a manageable introduction; a rider seeking technical terrain should describe recent experience and ask what is appropriate. A longer tour buys more time, not a promise of extreme ground.
Prepare your belongings
Use comfortable clothes and closed shoes and expect dust or dirt. Keep loose belongings secured and valuables protected. Safety gear is included in active tours, but ask about fit if that concerns you. If you mainly want riding photographs, consider the optional photo package, charged once per booking, rather than handling a camera while riding.
